Featured Pets from People4Pets No-Kill Animal Shelter

Pictured Below Left:  Dreammie aka Dream Girl is a bundle of affection. She loves to give big kisses, snuggle on the couch and she is an excellent bed buddy.  A Rottie-mix, Dreammie weighs in at about 50 lean pounds and is a sweet as can be - except with cats!  She is good with other dogs and she absolutely loves kids but might be a bit too playful for young children (under 10).  She has had basic obedience training and she walks nicely on a leash.  Dreammie is crate-trained and house-trained.  This wonderful girl is about two years old (a great age to get a dog!), heartworm negative, vaccinated, dewormed, flea free, altered and microchipped .

Pictured Above Right:  Dixie Bell's name says it all: she is filled with good ole Southern Hospitality! Dixie is a huge (90+#) purebred (looks like), people-focused black Labrador Retriever. Dixie is about six years old, is crate-trained, house-trained and she walks nicely on a leash. Dixie is fine with cats, children and most other dogs (except a strong alpha female). Dixie has a lot of love to give and is looking for a wonderful family to call home. Dixie is heartworm negative, vaccinated, dewormed, flea free, altered and microchipped . She is also crate-trained and house-trained.

Above Right:  Annabelle is a beautiful Siamese-mix, solid white short hair cat with one blue eye and one green eye.  She is very affectionate, loves people, and is looking for a good home.  She is fine with other cats, dogs, and children.  Annabelle’s human mother passed away and that is why she finds herself Orphan Annie.

Please contact People4Pets Foster Coordinator Gina Carr if you would like a personal introduction to either of these fine ladies!

Foster Homes are Desperately Needed:  People4Pets is looking for a few special families who can provide food, shelter, love, and introductions to pre-screened prospective foster families. We work with short-term and long-term foster families who can foster dogs, cats, puppies, or kittens.  We provide all vet care, boarding and professional training as needed.  Additionally, we provide crates, bright orange "Adopt Me" vests, marketing materials, and most other items that you might need to care for and market your foster dog.  The dogs will be marketed via the internet, email and your personal marketing efforts.  On occasion, they will be eligible to go to community adoptions at various retail locations.   This is a very rewarding experience and might be the perfect opportunity for someone that loves dogs but does not want a full-time, long-term (read 15-18 year) commitment.  Financial "sponsorship" of various dogs is always needed as well.   We are committed to fully supporting our foster families in every step of the process.
